"We started small, in 1983, just a core team of us committed to providing the Northern Virginia community with a fresh new option for exceptional, personalized medical care.
We’ve grown a lot since then, but remain firmly committed to our mission."
– Dr. Art Rubin, Co-Founder of GIMG
Our Mission: GIMG is committed to providing our patients with high quality, comprehensive, patient-centered medical care with the goal of optimizing health and well-being. Our team of providers and support staff cares about our patients and strives to offer every one the access and control they need over their healthcare experience, in a warm and friendly environment.
We believe our patients should be able to speak directly to their provider when they have questions and concerns, and have created unique ways to allow this to happen.
We offer our patients:
|Award-winning staff and physicians: Our office earned the Angie’s List’s 2012 Super Service Award for Primary Care – Internal Medicine. Our physicians have earned individual awards ranging from Washingtonian Top Doctor and Patient’s Choice Awards, to Most Compassionate Doctor, based on positive feedback from our patients and area physicians. Thank you for the vote of confidence!|
|Dedication to learning: Staying on top of the latest in medical diagnosis and patient care is a top priority for our practice. GIMG has developed a unique affiliation with the University of Virginia to bring Continuing Medical Education directly to our physicians and staff every month. In addition, several of our physicians serve as clinical professors for local universities to help support medical education.|
Recognition as a Patient-Centered Medical Home: After a rigorous qualification process, our Arlington office received the highest level of recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) under its PPC®-PCMH™ program as a Patient-Centered Medical Home. A Patient-Centered Medical Home is defined as a model of care designed to strengthen the physician-patient relationship by replacing sporadic care with coordinated care and a long-term healing relationship. Recognized in 2011 and 2012, and are in the process of submitting for 2013.
